Obstacle Course Rentals in Austin, Kyle & Central Texas
An obstacle course changes an event from open-ended play into a challenge. Participants have a route to tackle, obstacles to negotiate and a finish to reach, making this style of inflatable particularly useful when you want children and guests actively involved rather than simply bouncing.
KBC Kidz offers the Game On Obstacle Course for parties and events across Central Texas. It can take center stage at a children's party, become one activity within a school field day, or join bounce houses, party games and other attractions at a much larger event.
Make the Inflatable Part of the Competition
A conventional bounce house is built around free play. An obstacle course gives the activity more direction, which makes it a useful alternative for children who enjoy racing, challenges and friendly competition.
The Game On Obstacle Course can give participants something specific to tackle while spectators watch the action. At larger events, groups can move between the obstacle course and completely different activities elsewhere at the venue.
Obstacle Courses for Birthday Parties
For birthday parties and children's parties, an obstacle course can become the main entertainment rather than an add-on to a bounce house.
It is particularly worth considering for parties where the children enjoy active games. You can keep the celebration focused around the obstacle course or add something with a different pace, such as Mini Golf, facepainting or a visit from one of our characters & costumes.
Turn a School Field Day Into a Series of Challenges
School events give obstacle courses a different role. Rather than being the sole attraction, the inflatable can become one station within a larger field day, reward event, school carnival or end-of-year celebration.
Schools can create an activity circuit with the Game On Obstacle Course at one point and games or other inflatables at others. Options such as the Dunk Tank, Slime Tank, Nerf War Zone and Mini Golf can introduce completely different challenges around the event.
Race, Bounce, Aim or Get Dunked
A larger event becomes more interesting when every attraction does something different. The obstacle course can provide the racing element while other KBC Kidz entertainment changes the type of challenge.
This gives organisers the ability to create several distinct activity areas instead of filling the venue with variations of the same entertainment.
Add Water Attractions for Summer Events
When the event falls during warmer Texas weather, you can combine the obstacle course with our water slides. The range includes the Dual Drop, Sea Slide Water Slide and Volcano Screamer Water Slide.
That combination can work particularly well for summer parties, school celebrations and outdoor events where you want both a dry competitive attraction and somewhere for guests to cool off.
Obstacle Courses at Festivals and Community Events
At festivals and community gatherings, the obstacle course can form one part of a much wider entertainment layout. Visitors can move from the inflatable challenge to games, food treats, character entertainment or other attractions around the event.
KBC Kidz also offers Bounce Land for festival-style events and Giant Theme Parks for organisers considering entertainment on a substantially larger scale.
Planning Entertainment for Different Ages
Not every guest at a family event will want to tackle an obstacle course. If younger children are attending, the Soft Play Toddler provides a dedicated soft play option that can occupy a separate area.
facepainting and characters & costumes can also broaden the entertainment beyond physical activities, helping mixed-age events provide more than one way to participate.
Go Beyond Inflatables
An obstacle course does not mean every other attraction has to be inflatable. KBC Kidz has several categories that can change the feel of the event entirely.
You can consider ponies and petting zoos, animal rides including the Mechanical Animal Rides, face painting, characters and party games alongside the inflatable entertainment.
For organisers planning a large event, this creates opportunities to separate the venue into active, competitive, animal, character and quieter entertainment areas.
Add Cotton Candy and Snow Cones
Our concession machines give guests something different to enjoy between activities. KBC Kidz offers the Cotton Candy Machine and Snow Cone Machine, both of which can be added to parties, school events and larger gatherings.
For a summer event combining an obstacle course and water attractions, snow cones can fit particularly naturally into the overall setup.
Equipment for Larger Event Setups
If the obstacle course forms part of a bigger event, you may also need practical equipment around the attractions. Browse tables & chairs for adult and children's furniture, or generators when generator hire forms part of your event requirements.
The wider event services section provides another useful starting point when the event involves more than entertainment alone.
From One Obstacle Course to a Large Inflatable Event
The scale of the setup can change considerably depending on the occasion. A children's birthday might revolve around the Game On Obstacle Course and one secondary activity. A school field day could have several games operating around it. A festival might combine multiple inflatables, concessions, games and other entertainment.
For events requiring substantially larger inflatable attractions, explore our Giant Theme Parks. You can also browse the broader inflatables range when comparing different types of inflatable entertainment.
